In the northeastern corner of the Cologne district on the route from Koln to Chlumec nad Cidlinou, Dománovice is located in the midst of fields and forests at a height of 241 meters. The hill “Rozhledna” that towers over the village is 269 meters high. The initial oak-hornbeam stand, which was nearby, was designated in 1988 as a protected natural creation known as the “Dománovick forest.” Numerous mushrooms, protected flora, particularly slipper slippers, and protected insects, such as stag beetles and aspen, are present.
